About the Client:
Our client is a newly established Dublin-based electrical contractor, preparing to launch independently while completing 3–4 installations per week. With a focus on high-quality work, our client is building a reliable support system behind the scenes. This role offers the opportunity to support a trade professional at a pivotal stage, helping to streamline finances, manage compliance and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with strong bookkeeping and administrative skills to support our client in the early stages of their business. The VA will play a key role in keeping finances organised, ensuring compliance and laying the groundwork for long-term success. Key tasks include:
- Weekly payroll setup and processing (for one employee initially)
- Invoice generation and tracking, including subcontractor payments
- Assistance with SEAI and Safe Electric compliance paperwork
- General admin support: email management, scheduling and filing
- Collaboration on business systems, file organisation and onboarding tools
Role and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day admin tasks and financial workflows
- Regular submission of SEAI certificates and regulatory documentation
- Coordination with subcontractors (e.g. roofing partners) for payments and scheduling
- Early-stage business system setup, including app/tool integration and process creation
- Flexible support to navigate evolving business needs
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience with small business bookkeeping and payroll
- Strong admin and organisational skills
- Ability to manage compliance forms and documentation accurately
- Confident working independently with minimal instruction
- Clear communicator, responsive, and detail-focused
Preferred but not mandatory:
- Familiarity with SEAI or Safe Electric paperwork
- Experience supporting trades or construction businesses
- Comfortable suggesting systems and tools for early-stage business setup
Working Hours: We are seeking a candidate to work 5 hours per week to start, with potential to grow as the business expands.
Location: This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in Ireland during business hours. Candidates should be based in Ireland and be well-aligned with Irish business practices and time zones.
