Virtual Assistant (Digital Marketing and Content Creation)

Part-Time (6 hours per week, Remote – Ireland Based)

Business Overview

Our client is a founder-led actuarial, risk and regulatory consultancy supporting insurers and reinsurers across Ireland and the EU.

We are seeking an experienced VA with strong B2B content experience to support the founder with LinkedIn, marketing and content, turning technical insights into clear, professional content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a forward content calendar and helping to keep agreed publication dates on track
  • Preparing first drafts of approximately two to three LinkedIn posts per week using approved source material and existing content
  • Drafting and refining content in a tone that reflects the founder’s professional voice
  • Proactively identifying and suggesting relevant content ideas from agreed regulatory, insurance and company sources
  • Repurposing approved articles, briefings, presentations and webinar material into suitable content for different channels
  • Supporting webinar promotion, including LinkedIn content, invitations, reminders and follow-up material
  • Assisting with newsletters, website copy and other routine marketing content as priorities and available hours allow
  • Preparing, adapting and formatting PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials using substantive technical content provided or approved by the founder
  • Creating straightforward visual assets and ensuring content is presented consistently with existing brand materials
  • Maintaining an organised content workflow and providing clear visibility of priorities, drafts and completed outputs
  • Working proactively with the founder to reduce the time required to develop, format and coordinate ongoing marketing content

What a Successful Week Looks Like

  • The content calendar is organised and publication dates stay on track
  • 2 to 3 high-quality LinkedIn posts are drafted in the founder’s professional voice
  • Relevant content ideas are proactively identified and suggested
  • Technical material is repurposed into clear, credible marketing content
  • Content, presentations, and marketing materials move efficiently through the approval process

Skills and Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience producing content for professional services, B2B or similarly technical organisations
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, particularly for LinkedIn and professional audiences
  • Excellent written English with a strong eye for tone, structure, grammar and detail
  • Ability to understand complex or technical source material and communicate it clearly
  • Experience working from approved source material, existing content and established brand guidance
  • Strong practical knowledge of LinkedIn and content planning
  • Experience creating and formatting professional PowerPoint presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint and OneDrive
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage agreed priorities and use initiative
  • Comfortable working within an approval-led environment where all external content requires the founder’s approval before publication or distribution

Preferred (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience within financial services, insurance, actuarial, risk, regulatory or another technical professional-services environment
  • Experience supporting a founder, consultant or senior professional with thought-leadership content
  • Experience with newsletters and website content
  • Experience supporting webinars or other professional online events
  • Familiarity with AI tools as part of a controlled content-drafting workflow
  • Experience repurposing long-form or technical material into concise digital content

Working Hours & Location

  • Approximately 6 hours per week, with some flexibility across the month to accommodate webinar, publication and content peaks
  • Flexible working arrangement
  • Fully remote role (Ireland-based candidates only)

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone who is:

  • Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable suggesting ideas rather than waiting for detailed instructions
  • A strong writer with good judgement around professional tone and positioning
  • Able to learn a founder’s voice and produce credible first drafts from relatively light briefs
  • Comfortable working with technical subject matter while recognising the boundaries of their role
  • Highly organised, dependable and consistent
  • Confident managing their own workload and time
  • Comfortable taking ownership of an agreed content process and keeping activity moving
  • Professional and discreet when working with business information and unpublished material
